I told everyone that BD would be taller than 101 in June....funny that someone said September, but if we're at 494m now I am gonna have to rest my case. You can't tell me it's gonna take 3 months to go 16m [1m taller than 101].

Really? I don't remember it taking so long. So maybe it WILL take until September to beat the record.

Well, you're wrong. It's not gonna happen this month. Maybe not even next month or even August.

I don`t think it will be really racing ahead after the mechanicals. After mechanicals core setbacks are every 5 or so floors and core reconfigurations will take quite a lot of time. Maybe some 3 weeks for 5 or so the same floors and than 1 week for reconfigurement, than again some 3 weeks for next setback. And so on untill the 160 levels I think the concrete will top out somewhere in september or october. Just watch it grow

I thought we are nearing the 5th set of mechanical floors? That would mean we still have the 6th set to go.

Still going day by day with amazing progress! Thanks Imre for keeping up the good work, and to Joobn as well for the continuous far-out perspective.

Wow, great diagram, thanks!

Hmm... so its already the 5th tallest free standing above land structure on earth? Behind CN Tower, Ostankino Tower, Sears Tower and Taipei 101. It has the 3rd highest floor, after Petronius and Baldpate Complaint Towers. It is also the 65th tallest man-made object on the planet! Can't wait to see it eat up its next victim, Taipei 101.

Are you not reading the thread or something? It's been mentioned like 10 times in the last two pages that they're moving on to mechanical floors next, which will take a really long time to complete.

I went back and saw on the page 117's diagram that the 136-138 levels are mechanical. I missed that part I guess. So it takes much longer to pour the floors on the mech level...how long for those two floors then?

There is a ladder and service lift to the top of the mast according to wikipedia.

I would pay a lot of money for a trip up to the top of a 628m structure of any kind. It would be such a rush.
