Imre, kind of ashamed to admit this but seeing 3 whole layers of glass in those photos I just sat here giggling maniacally for several minutes, these incredible pictures are destroying my fragile sanity... THANKS!

Just wonder.
People live in cities like Denver at 5200ft (1585m) or La Paz at 13,000ft(3963m) without trouble so I don't think 700m would be a problem.

Edit: Then again Imre seems to have a better answer to your question. It would suck to have a headache all day.

This diagram looks better tah the other one the comparison between the tallest tower in teh world is awsome. Burj Dubai is almost placing itself into the 1st place.

I noticed the thread title says "Future World's Tallest." I wonder if it will be changed to "World's Tallest" once it surpasses Taipei 101 or the CN Tower.

Looking at the steel section (not just the spire alone), that's also a good 25 feet taller than the Renaisasance Center here in downtown Detroit and as such, would be taller than anything in the city as well!

The steel section off the BD is 200+ meters and our highest building is only 152/155 Meters :S Even the Euromast in Rotterdam is "only" 185 Meters tall...

Thanks Imre for the pics.

Hmmm nothing to say more...

Bye

painful ears

Air pressure will certainly an issue when you go up to that level. Only once you are there and swallowed a few times, the pressure difference with your inner ear evens out. Then it is the same as living in a city like Denver or La Paz.

La Paz sits at 11,913 ft (3 631m) above sea level. Denver is 5,280 ft (1,609m). Exactly how tall do you think the Dubj Dubai is going to be?

O I C. Thanks.

I swallow 1-3 times to ease my ears to get to 40th fl. This is 170 fl. Just think it'll be a bit frustrated to do that to get ground floor/ or to that height. If forget the key, had to pass all painful ear process again.

But I think other people dont have such stupid problems like I do.

Yes, but you don't climb 700m in... how much? 2-3 minutes?

In a plane you probably do, of course there is pressurization but it's a big change in a small amount of time.
