I would also mix in the 'object' that the Enterprise crew found in space in the Star Trek (original series) episode 'The Changeling' to the top of that pile, if anyone here recalls that one.

Iīm happy. At least we are going to forget and exceed Taipei 101 and Petronas, the biggest fraud about records in skyscrapers.

For me, both building have been just an advertising for each countries, wasting as less as possible to get the title of WTB, but till Burj Dubai, the tallest floor was Chicago Sears... Taipei top is only a little structure, not ocupped space. And antenna of Sears Tower is bigger than two other.

Actually the last level of BJ, 138th, is 498,2m, so pilars are rising up to 500m So is mutch higher than any other floor in the world. Moreover, cranes rises up to 550 m...why not say that:

BURJ DUBAY IS ALREADY THE WORLD TALLEST BUILDING?

Sorry, some of you donīt want to speculate with the exact moment of this event, but iīm exciting

The CN Tower's days are almost numbered. Oh well, now we have the record for tallest illuminated building.

I think each floor plate supports the weight of the windows, not the windows below it.

Because why would we believe some random person on a forum who claims that he has insider info? There are plenty of "experts" on every forum who claim they know things most people don't know. Can you blame us for being skeptical? And the floor updates on the website seem accurate.

Finding out the correct level is not a problem. We can just look at the pics. And why would the heights on the chart (provided to the webmaster by Emaar I assume) be wrong?

I see what you mean, there are no "feet" on those hooks above that first row of windows. Maybe someone else could explain better than I could.
