Unless I see a video of the GPS display at the top of the tower, I'll have no reason to believe Sky Tower's numbers.

way a 6 months wait for the concrete to fully cure it has to be fully cure while they go floor to floor at this moment ! so i think they can lower dawn the form work end start right after

We know that 136th floor is between the white lines, so looks like they're working on 140th.

I doubt ever again. There are plans for much taller buildings all over the middle east so its getting kind of unrealistic to compete.

Look at your diagram again and draw the red lines more clearly and you will find they are working on lvl 138/139.

They're still working on 139 on the left side, but the highest they've gotten to is 140 (on the right side of the pic).

Thanx for the great pics as always - Imre and AltinD.

Picasa - Sorry I don't have the photog names. Picasa is so **** in the way it is set up. It takes alot of searching through to find new shots I end up looking at 100 photogs shots and I don't remember them when i decide to post some.

Thanks for the update Fury

As with all penultimate mech floors, they are numbered as 2 floors as they have a double internal floor.

They have done this with each set of mech floors so far.

The new indent is L139, with rebar half finished on what will be L141 on the opposed side of that picture as one of the 3 sides of L140 is finished (but only the unpoured rebar on this side), which counts as completed construction when measuring the damn thing!

Current measurable height is equivalent to L140

World's tallest building? or not just yet

When it surpasses Taipei 101 in the next week Technically it won't be the tallest because of it not finished ,but where it matters, structurally it will.

Thanx Skytower.
You have that correct IMO on the level count. They didn't skip any in the first set of mechanicals. After that they skipped 41, 74, 110, and now 137. The exact level number skipped may be a level off from these as there are no markings we can see on the structure, but that is not relevent. I have good shots showing the lower 3 skipped levels - posted some weeks ago. I can repost if anyone is interested.

Here is 2 shots ( Thanx again Imre and AltinD ) to show what I mean:

I think my signature tells it all - love this thing.
Have a good day all
