So, I'm thinking we're deviated from the original cross-sections. Right? The new core-reconfiguration looks like it has occurred at level 144 and I believe it was supposed to have happened at level 147 per the original cross-section.

Also, I think the observation decks were lowered by a few floors too, right?

Then again, I remember that even this cross-section we had didn't exactly line up with the numbering on the tower....

Hey now, don't quote me and then make a sweeping generalization about Americans. I agree that that guy is an idiot, and isn't representing Americans well, but I'm certainly not an idiot.

Anyway, exciting stuff going on. I'm almost more excited about the crane being dismantled than I was about it passing T101/Sears. This means real progress. And we can clearly see the first of the next core reconfigurations now, and the next one should be on the level they're pouring now!

Very exciting stuff.

Hi all.

Another great update Imre - Thanx.

Enjoy.

Looks to me that the crane they are taking down would be in the way of the concrete winglets for levels 144 to 147. So I don't think they are just repairing it.

Hello. Finaly I Registered here! My english skills aren't the best so try to understand.

Home page of Burj Dubai says "The tip of the spire can been seen by a person 95 km away" If that 95 km is accurate value we can calculate the height of the tower because we know earth's circumference and radius.

I've calculated it and I got value 707,56 meters

you know about Hurricane Dean?
I'm glad you do. it's a couple of thousand miles from houston
and it won't hit here

also if burj Dubai fell down it would kill more people than the world trade center did on 9/11/2001

Nice pictures. I'm a little disappointed because I thought the cladding will have more of a mirror finished look. Either way I think it will look better once they get the rest of the glass on the building.

There are for sure heavy storms in Dubai, but as I learned in my boring geographylessons there are not many hurricanes(or zyclons or whatever).

You can also see it there:

A category five hurricane could not hit Dubai because of the geography.

We've see that before. They mention Burj Dubai, but it's not listed as one of the episodes, so it'll probably be a while before they show it.

Man, is this building huge! When you see the other buildings near the Burj Dubai, you get the feeling they shouldn't even bother to build them

OK.

I'm sure they mention it just for something else to say.

Do you ever have anything good to say ?

In fact - do you ever contribute anything here - or just troll.
