the tier27 balcony will be tiny.
in this plan, the spire at this level is 2.1m diametre.
thus the balcony area measures 1.1m deep x 1.7m wide.
basically enough to stand in.lol nearly 2sq metres.enough to dance
compariable to size of a bath tub floor?
1.1m deep is? You mean the lenght from the vertice to the spire? Is there any strong and high railing around? If no can be very dangerous especially under strong wind

We all notice that the names of some buildings in Dubai have the word "Burj" or "Al" , even both of them , what are their means ?

Burj literally means "Tower" while Al means "Tall"

I'm not 100% sure also...

who is going to be brave enough to go on a balcony that high with only a 1 metre handrail to stop you going over, especially in the wind.

Chicago and Moscow towers antenna

I'm wondering if the Chicago and Moscow towers will have extremely high antenna from there roof tops? The diagrams show the towers currently with flat tops, we all know the antenna space atop tall towers is extremely valuable space. Personally I envision a tall cone atop both of these towers..

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

well it wouldn't happen with Chicago Spire since the US government has a cap on how tall people can build which currently stands at 2000ft unless they can argue that it would be of benefit to the US to build above this cap such as is the case with television masts. I guess with Moscow Tower it's feasible but personally I can't see it happening.

Does anyone knows the reason behind this regulation?

It's a regulation by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) for air traffic safety concerns.

Odd Effect

I have noticed something in the panoramic pictures of the Burj. I find that instead of the tower looking tall, the other buildings look small. Not (yet) seeing the tower outside of the pictures here, I find that I have no appropriate perspective. Has anyone else noticed this? I bring the point up because of the discussion of the CN Tower. I don't have that same problem when I see a photo of the Toronto skyline. But, I have seen the CN Tower on a regular basis for 30 years. Will the height of the Burj be translated to the world effectively through pictures?

I'd agree with that. Ever time I look at the picture I think of it being as tall as the CN Tower, but find it hard to believe because of the building's context. That being said, I always find it hard to believe that FCP in Toronto is over 1000', primarily because the CN Tower is in the skyline.

The real amazing visual I imagine is the John Hancock on top of the Sears Tower - Amazing!

Perhaps BD should place a life-size inflatable king-kong on it near the top, to show how tiny king-kong would look on it

Aaaah your location says it all...

The look is based upon the shape off a desert flower and by designing the construction in such a matter that wind is getting redirected upwards into the sky where it points at...

But at least it isnt a joke like the Petronas towers are...

Achieving the WTB status with only with spires equals cheating.

Cheers dude

What does my location have to do with anything? Why are you stereotyping and having presumed opinions on a person just based on their location? Just because this building isnt to my liking, what does that have to do with ones location? I am still going to visit this building for its utter size, but i prefer buildings with a look like the waterview tower, or various towers in shanghai going up right now.
