It's nice to finally get some close-up shots of the next setbacks. The change of the corewalls from the standard wide openings to the more square-oriented grid is interesting. You may not need as much material as the floors get smaller but there has to be some interesting methods for reinforcing going on this high.

Interesting concept. When you're looking down it's like looking down from the top of a supertall but when you're looking up you're at the "base" of a supertall.

I think that only level 124 will be ob deck, because it has outdoor terace on top of tier 10. But both levels, 123 and 124 are higher than the others below and above. Maybe it will be a skylobby in 123?

Awesome.

Btw, don't waste time on Christopher Hume. He rarely has anything positive to say. I just hope that when the Burj surpasses the CN Tower, people from Dubai won't gloat and say 'CN Tower sucks' or 'Take that Toronto!'.

It would be cool if they used one of the higher terraces for a half indoor/outdoor fancy restaurant and night club. I would love to dine on a good steak and fine Italian wine at 500meters.

yes the lev124 ob deck looks like having a higher deck out on the outdoor terrace equal to another level high;
see floor plan>

Hi all.

Here is a small part of the 10,000 line time schedule from April 07. The 2 dates are the estimated start and finish. They are very close so far. Looks like levels 154 and 155 will not use the climbing form. I presume they will be formed around the base beams of the steel section.

Enjoy.

Hey guys,

What do you think, broken or not broken? Anyone know what the normal incidence for broken curtainwall/cladding is for a tower?
