They'll use oil from Qatar.

Anyhow, how do they get mass dampers installed? Is the crane capable of lifting such a massive object?

I think the question was more related to the dependency of oil? I think I heard sometime that dubai doesn't want to be so depentant on oil, but the focusing on tourism changes nothing.

From Wikipedia.

Damn, they won't be able to use oil from Qatar.

Back to the Burj Dubai now.

BTW I am really sorry of posting something that has nothing to do with the burj but I had to say this

Tourism percentage predictions are at 24% GDP for 2008, compared with 2.8% GDP for oil production.
Dubai's wealth is from tax free trade....and now massively dependent on tourism!
Three cheers for Dubai, it's mega projects and its massive ***** in the sky!
