For the steel section they will install a new crane on the top of the concrete. The cranes which are now on top will be both dismantled.

Hey!
my first post in this forum after more than one year of watching this! Really good work in here from Imre, Skytower, Culwulla, and many more, thanks for that and keep it going!!
After a studytrip to Dubai last year in april i'm addicted to this tower (i've been in it!! ) and maybe i'm going again next year to work on a building site so... exciting!
But my question: how can I save that fantastic movie?? It's really helpful for my study at the moment. An English version would be nice too
Thanks in advance! Keep up the good work here!

Just a question, The new crane will be bigger than any of the previous 3 crane used right?

And what more impressive is, it the world highest crane attached to a structure, going up as high as 750m.

I wonder how the crane operator conquer his fear at that kind of height. (That crane is situated on top of this small projectile, basically from the cabin if u look down, your view would pentrate thorugh that small base of the crane and continued all the way down by another 155 stories.)

Wow! Can you imagine someone from the 1700s looking at that video? How far we have come!! To me, and I hope to all of history, this building represents more than just the title of WTB for a few years. Because it is to set the precedent for all other extremely tall buildings like it to come. It has taken man 75 years to make Supertall building very practical. Not even ten years ago the list of supertall buildings was a list one could easily memorize. Now the list of those just under construction takes up over 100 threads!! I believe that, maybe in another 70 years, we will look back on Burj Dubai as we do today with such early supertall pioneers like the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building and truly marvel at it -- for it's aesthetic beauty, and it's position as a milestone in skyscraper building. Sorry if I sound like I'm rambling here, but I feel very passionate about my architecture (especially for someone majoring in psychology!!)

Also guys, I know the language is tough, but the word is "and" NOT "end". Honestly that should be like, one of the first few words you learn in any language, I'm not sure how you could still be messing up. But I've seen it among many of you guys so . . . I guess I'm just flabbergasted.

Also to dar84: Uh good luck! Don't let them take your passport!! I'm not kidding!!

Thanx for the height update Ember-To-Ashes
The new side mounted crane on top will have higher tower and longer arm than the now ones. But I dont think that it will have such ton capacity. Will be very similar as the one on the Culwullas diagrams.

The video was cool, however there was a lie. At the beginning it showed the Petronas Towers actually taller than Taipei 101!!!
