So current height is lev150 or 555m with formwork going to lev151/560m?
then lev151 will be reached this week with form work going to lev152/565m?

Also i see lev154 will be when concrete will be topped. this is 577m high.

then the lev155 and lev155 mez will have combined concrete/steel construction before it reaches full steel frame of lev156?
as i understand.

he couldnt believe how no one really knew about Burj Dubai. also they didnt realise it was going to be worlds tallest. they just knew stuff about A burj arab hotel.
Thank you for the compliment.

I think we should use women to our advantage. Everytime I mention that the world's largest mall is being built next door, my wife's ears perk up. When talking about Burj Dubai, we should mention its big neighbor more often.

I think the combined three floors starts with the 156th. The 155th is the last occupied floor (the office of Emaar's chairman) while the 155 mezzanine above it, is a mechanical floor.

The last occupied floors i thought was at 701m?

If the highest point accessible by elevator is 624m, i believe the highest occupied floors could go well above that.

Also from my understanding, at 156th floors onward its pure steel section, 154-155 is a combination of both concrete and steel.

Oops, I guess I did stray off topic. I was merely reporting an article I read in the travel section of a local newspaper, that was otherwise very positive about Dubai.

I myself have visited Dubai twice in the past decade. The construction going on there is very exciting.

1. Please explain what "trolling" is. I do not understand that term.

2. I thought it related in a round about way ... i.e., helpful information to someone who may want to visit Dubai but might have difficulties getting in.

3. You may be right! I was only reporting what an article stated. This may be a good example of "don't believe everything you read!" If Dubai is in reality a much more liberal and tolerant place, then I say "Good for Dubai!"

4. What difference does that make?!

I believe you posted the same negative stuff about Dubai in the World Trade Centre thread. You really need some self confidence guy - the US still does have some wonderful buildings, and great things are coming up there! No need to bash Dubai.
