FINALLY! I got a pass to go up Burj Dubai…

I was escorted by a high profile manager in Arabtec who let me in on a few secrets… Mwahhahaaha!

Alright,

As of 22/9 the completed floor count = 152
The last concrete floor, beginning of steel structure = 159
Observation Deck = 123/124

41 (The missing Floor) is a ‘Mechanical’ floor or Mezzanine. Serves as the roof of the Armani Hotel.

TOP OF PINNACLE (FINAL redesign No. 6) is… is… a…

I took pictures of the blue prints by SOM, Samsung, Besix, Arabtec & approved by Emaar… will upload them soon… when I leave the country!

I was happy to see it over 800 meters ))

I highlighted the most interesting part.

Indeed you did, which appears to have escaped the attention of all the subsequent quotes. It caught my eye too. Suggests greater than 808 to me.

Its not Business Bay, that area stops before the Al Kheil Road, although it looks as though planned bridges will head towards that area so something is planned.

Ok now i want to discuss something about the posting behaviour off Vanherrik.

Vanherrik, i know that you like the Burj Dubai and i am happy to see more people having the same feelings like i do. But you are reposting pictures after pictures after pictures and do that like 3 times.

That is anoying to say the least.

But cheers nevertheless because i know that you are a good person and that you want to do the right thing but please learn from this post to perfectionate your selfes to become a better poster

Cheers dude
James, There is a famous person from Vanhenricks home town, where I am sure you have taken the art of peace keeping.

We are not being just a wee bit condescending, now, are we?

Bash Dubai? Why would anyone want to bash Dubai?

Yes, most countries around the world have some wonderful buildings which are a source of pride! In addition to buildings most countries can also point to the great universities, art museums, opera houses, palaces, gardens, monuments, etc.

So far, at this point in my life, I have travelled to over 100 countries on six continents. There is not one country I did not fall in love with. I've been to Dubai twice. Although I had more fun in neighboring Muscat, Oman, I still have a very favorable impression of Dubai.

Well, I dug through the thread via search and if you're wondering just what the heck "Revision #6" is, one of Sky Tower's posts stated a height of 942 meters that was approved back around November 2006. If the spire still isn't finalized and added to this height, is there a chance we could still break 1KM?
