If starting at L154, you would expect the columns etc to be already delivered to site, so yes surprised!

Unless steel section is another few floors yet?

Why do you think the USA doesn't change the rules on the illegals from Mexico, instead allowing them to remain? Estimates range from 5 to 8 million of them in the USA, all getting paid well below the minimum wage and with no benefits. Go and take a look at construction in Las Vegas or the fruit and vegetable farms in California and you'll see them.

The structural steel work for Burj Dubai is set to begin next week, claimed by the managing director of the winning bidder, Eversendai. The 14,588,750 $ contract has been signed by the Malaysian company which has worked on such as projects as: Petronas Tower 2, the KLCC Suria, Kuala Lumpur Tower, Telekom Tower, KLIA Airport, KL Sentral Station and Putrajaya Convention Centre. GREAT NEWS !!!!!!

Last time I checked the Jeddah Mile High Tower was 1600m, not 1200m.

Maybe a scaled down version of this 346 floors, 1800 meters tall proposal by TVS?

To me this looks more like Almas Tower in Dubai Marina much further away. Thus I agree with Gattberserk that it's two pics in one.

Anyway, flying over Dubai in a heli must be the ultimate thrill!
