Just the usual Burj Dubai thread off topic nonsense.

Luckily Imre is not the only one that makes picture updates, if he was this thread would have gone crazy until he returns to Dubai.

Thanks Old Town Resident for the latest picture updates, It always nice to see some different angles!

In the interest of friendship with this forum.

I would like to ask this.

Can we STOP attacking Vanhenrik for his english and his spelling. This SPAM has to stop once and for all. Vanhenrik is handling all this abuse with class and is not lashing back but many of you guys are not letting up in personal attacks against him. If he cannot spell or pronounce words properly that is personal with him. I understand by his spelling exactly what he is saying.

This focus is on Burj Dubai not Vanhenriks diction. He has been a great contributor to this forum and few even care to give him some positive credit.

What makes Vanhernik a positive contributor is that he loads us with information and does not lash back when he is attacked.

Now that is class.

Keep up the great work Vanhenrick.

Gorgeous pics Venhenrick

Anyway Ven what I am trying to tell to is not as an intention of attacking u. If you are too offended by it I am sorry, as I said my english isn't great either and hence the word i used might be too strong or offensive despite that wasn't my real intention.

Anyway Ven, in the end of the day if you did improve your english, its not just us that get benefit, you yourself too. Everyone will be happy for you. Think of these this way, eventually you have adept in another language which is something you should be proud of because english isn't your national language.

Sorry for posting this again which is unrelated but I must clarify this, espiecally if I have really hurt Ven's feeling I must really apologise. This is will be last post and let just put this aside and get back to this topic after that

P.S Does anyone know when will the last crane be taken down?

That are some classy pics right there Vanhenrik!!

You realy see the difference when the Burj was without its cladding and now with its cladding.

The result that the Burj changed for the better with the cladding!!

Cheers Vanhenrik!!

Damn I love this building!! This building, obviously, is ushering in a new era of the skyscraper. This building is what the Empire State Building was to the world in 1931......great job Dubai!!....I cant wait to visit so I can see this monster in person.

Why aren't they cladding the mechanical floors?

Are they doing it later?

Anyways, I've been quietly following progress, I must say...no other building in history has probably gotten more attention than this one. Random people at work....totally ignorant people "who know nothing" (as Jim Cramer would put it) know about this building.

Love the daily progress.

I wouldn't say in history...maybe in recent history, but other buildings in the past must've gotten more attention than this. A lot of people don't even know where Dubai is...imagine how much attention ESB or Sears got when they were going up. But I do agree with what you're saying, people who know nothing about skyscrapers are starting to notice this one...as well they should.
