When they will start to put cladding we'll see with all our eyes till then have to wait
If they take this cladding off then it is testing, if it stays up it is cladding. They may be starting slow to get the process right, but if it never comes down it is not test cladding.

There was a ceremony when they started the cladding, and they have put up rails with some kind of small winches to put up the panels. And they have started the instalation on 2 levels. Certainly they can`t clad two levels at the first day. I don`t know what do you need to believe man? A transparent with a sign: Giovani kun - the cladding has started? Get a life man

This render is of the tower at around 710 m.

EDIT: Oops. Didn't calculate that right. It's actually around 800. Probably the 808 render.

Taipei 101 is beaten, as far as I'm concerned. Roof height is what matters.

Imre! Fantastic photos! Man, is that stuff reflective. When it's done, the whole tower will look like a bunch of floating rings of aluminum! The rest will blend in with the sky!

P.S.
You don't know the lengths I had to go to to view those photos... For some reason, embedded ImageShack photos have stopped showing up on my computer, so I had to look at the page source code and find the URLs!

I'm very happy that Burj Dubai finally having cladding installed now. I'm little disappointed that Burj Dubai and Trump International Tower in Chicago have same type of cladding. I wish both would have different type of cladding. I understand that both building were designed by SOM company but come on they can do better than that. Right?

I think the aluminum is more reflective than in Trump Tower's cladding.

Possibly so but I don't think it will make any difference since both building has exactly same type of cladding. It only depends on the environment that is happening surrounding them. However, I believe that Burj Dubai would very shining than Trump International Tower because Burj Dubai is being built in the middle that is little far away from hundreds new skyscrapers surrounding it. Trump International Tower is being built that is next to hundreds of skyscrapers that are already built and it will be less shining than Burj Dubai. We will see about that.

Looks like you were wrong.
they will go above 160 floors, they might be small but they will go for more then 160. and the floor plans always have been small

CrazyAboutCities, there are tens of thousands of skyscrapers in the world. No matter how you do the cladding it will be the same as some other building. The only way to make it unique is to to do something that looks terrible, since there are only a limited number of decent looking cladding configurations. This cladding is how the Trump Tower SHOULD have looked if they didn't go cheapo and use warped and wavy glass.
