Its will not rest on sand but on the bedrock below.

Are they out of their minds with this? Who would build a skyscraper of that size on the ridge of a mountain? I don't know the specific geology of that site, but all mountains are in a constant state of growing or receding. Some mountains change height by as much as an inch a year.

There is NO reason for a radio tower to be that size.

That's not really true, apart from erosion, which is very slow and happens everywhere, mountainous or not. The vast majority of mountains in the world are geologically stable at this time.

Huh? Dubai has mountain too? I thought Dubai is desert flatland plus coast? I am confused?

I don't think building a skyscraper on the mountain that should be considered to be next world's tallest buildng... That is cheating... Nice trying... I am not buying it.

Added a few more facade units. Looks like it's still going very slow.

Quick photoshop. The facade looks pretty much just like in the renders.

is the floor with 2 white lines lev122?
tom green- i ment a long time because the Al Burj project wont commence for a few years yet and it will take many to build, so i would say in reality it wont reach higher then Burj Dubai for 10 years? thats a loong time for my records.

By the way, MetalliTool, that PS would be perfect if you had edited out the elevator shaft on the right-most set of windows. When I get home I'm gonna open up Photoshop and attempt to show you up.

Nice pics MetalliTool. I really like the cladding it'll look brilliant when it's complete.
I can't get over how high up that wooden scaffolding is. I'd be scared out of my mind if I had to walk on that without a harness which Im sure many of the construction team have to do.
