Date format

Since I live in the Czech Republic and work in a Taiwanese company, to avoid any date-format confusing, I always use yyyy-mm-dd date format. It is impossible to get confused when using this format.

Not really... Sometime that formet can get really confusing... Easier to understand better by mm-dd-yyyy format.

A litte red bird told me it would be 2000 meters and a second tower will be built to make this a twin Burj Dubai like the Petronas.

No really that's just used in the US, Canada and the Philippines.
In the rest of the world (90% of the population) we use dd/mm/yyyy which is more intuitive.

Today is the twenty-first (21) of May, 2007. Couldn't be more clear than that.

So, what's the story behind that awful render at the top of the page?

Is that 2007 AD? - just to be pedantic.

You can rule that one out. It is FAR too late to change the design to 2000 meters.

Thats what the second tower is for - it will bridge across and support both buildings.

bunch of comedians..
is that 2007 AD??
and the foundations won't stand it.
very very funny.

It's "The Twenty-first day of May in the year 2007 AD" In the Eastern time zone with a 11 degrees of magnetic declination!

No But really - I file all my digital stuff in folders named with the date like this "2007 05 21"
this is the only way the folders will stay in chronological order.

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

- I'm afraid I am the reason for the "debate".
I just post the pics named the same way I do in my database. xx xx xx ( year-month-day ). Same reason as you graham, to keep them in order.
Some here say thank you for the pics. Others whine about the date format - go figure ...

Oh whatever, Fury. Just because we're straying way off topic doesn't mean we're whining.
