Yeah, I feel really bad not finishing it yet! My brother finishes his last day at work on Friday and will be start working for me full time. I'm really not happy using CSS for the site as it has multiple browser issues when used in conjunction with large text areas and pictures.....different screen sizes and browsers read the pages very differently, so I'm in the process of re-doing the whole site in Flash.

Thanks, I am aware of the growing content there and I'd love to utilize some of the stuff on there....but all the pages have been written, but I'm not adding it yet until I can sort out the flash visual optimization issues with Google (it doesn't accredit flash as it sees it as pictures....not text)
The site has a kick ass intro page which I've been working on....but that will go with the imminent relaunch!

Until then.....not a great deal more will be added just yet!

Great job, Fury. I love the one of the workers at the base. Is that their lunches they're all holding?

My take on levels ...

The only thing we have to go by at these distances is the small white markers between the worker lifts. They match the painted numbers on the structure. The builders have followed the original elevation plan exactly so far. The last marker on the structure is level 90. They have counted double levels ( skipped a level ) between 40 and 45, and between 70 and 75. This follows the drawing. I showed an arrow to the slightly taller than normal level 98. All the top levels of each tier are slightly taller, again following the drawing. After level 107 they will have to count 3 double levels as 113 is the top of the next tier.

Level 114 is the first level of the next tier and is the first side of the core that is narrower. Level 125 is the last level of that tier. The second side of the core to narrow is level 126, the first level of the next tier. This still follows the drawing. ( the drawing shows 14 levels for this tier but still shows 126 as the first level of the next tier - ? )

Although I am conviced they are going to deviate from this original drawing, they have followed it exactly so far. This is the most interesting structure ever.

^that elevation is fairly correct until recently with levels 122 and up.
thats why that elevation is now the redundant 705m original Burj Dubai!
you have a mistake with those arrows. the one you show at 114 is actually 111.
the 4th plant section has levels 109/110/111. the first of the office floors is 112.
the white painted floor is 122.
the whole upper section has changed and added bulk and height.
see closeup graham did only recently. i had to go back friggen 3 pages already.

athough they had a higher observation deck on lev142. but roof was only 600m and spire 705m
so i would ignore that elevation from now on.sorry.lol

Nice diagram fury!
Just one question... looking at the photo, I can't see how you get from 107 to 114. Even I you count the mechanical section as 3 floors it still does not add up.
We await your final height guess.

And thanks for your wonderful collection of pics.

I did some fast n dirty photoshop on this image and it gives an idea of how this building will be a buty shimmering jewel when the light is right.

Hey Culwulla.
Yea I realize the drawing is going to be deviated from. Please show us your source for the level numbers above 107. I have not seen anything showing revised level numbers. The drawing still corresponds with the structure. The first side of the core to narrow still looks to be 114 just like the drawing. The second side to narrow still counts up just like the drawing at 126. I am aware of the changes from this 705 meter drawing - just doesn't look to me that they have deviated yet. Please show your source for the level numbers. Perhaps we will just have to wait untill they mark the structure to know for sure but again - Please show your source for the level number changes.

Graham - the drawing shows 3 double levels between 98 and 114. Count them. They followed the drawing and counted doubles twice at lower levels. All I'm saying is they have been following the drawing so far. I am convinced they will deviate from it - just a matter of when. Looks like they are still following it so far.

Thanx guys for your Thank-you's for the pics. I enjoy searching out any and all pics and posting for everyone's enjoyment. Please don't take my take on the levels like I know it all. I don't. I was just posting how I see it with the info I have. I'm hoping Cul will post some new info and I will add it to my collection and revise my thinking accordingly. Have a good night all.

I see your point, but just look at the photo for the upper section you posted.
Look at floor 107. Now count up to what you say is 114. I don't think the mech level is counted as 5 floors. Your floor level pointers on the other photo are perfect up to 107. But your 114 and up seems wrong I think.

Hmm... that's about ten feet. Could be. That's a girthy spire, though. I guess on a building of this magnitude it doesn't look so big.

Today the weather cleared up again and most of the sand went away, so if Imre goes indeed to take pictures, they will be clear.
