Saw yesterday the docu about the Burj Dubai on Discovery. It was very interesting.
The docu visualized the period between level 13 and 85.
Strange to see that they practised more than 4 months in the basement of the tower to build a simple brick wall.
Another interesting issue was that on a cetrain level the tower must reinforced more due to an height increase of the tower. Lots of extra rebar and steel beams are added. So it is for sure that the tower becomes higher than at the time they start with the first levels. But how much they gonna increase it..... nobody is telling anything. So we must wait and see.

It was a great opertunity to get a view inside the tower. From inside and on top of the platforms this majestic buidling looks even bigger.

In this docu the showed that the workers have a kind of cafetaria on the 43th floor. Maybe the moved it up to a higher level now.

Also they asked the general project leader for the height of the tower. He did not say it, but at the look at his face, he knows it.

Burj is incredibly high at the moment. I can't wait to see the final floor. For me it looks like it is just about to collpase. Ehat more can be build above that?

By the way i can't imagine to work so high. I would fall down for sure.

@fury- ive got some dif info but basically you can see already how 705m diagram differs from current structure.
the 705m diagram -the floors 114-138 are basically same 4m high floors but in reality levels 122/123/124 are now larger 5m floors. so theres a change already.
anyway ill post a new diagram soon

Very nice!

I guess differing opinions and contrary observations do not sit well with you.

While you are questioning someone else's brains perhaps you should do it using correct grammar. It should be spectacularly WELL.

EXCUSE ME!!!

Saying that Burj Dubai is going to collapse, is neither a "different opinion", nor a "contrary observation". It is a pure idiotcy and that guy was absolutely RIGHT to tell you off.

Imre,

If you do go out for picture, can you try to get all 3 sides?
The reason I ask is I am watching the lifts on the last 2 tiers, if you notice right now they both go all the way to the top of the form work, this could be a sognal that the tiers will go higher than thought. Looking back the lifts allways stopped at the bottom of the next tier, however in the pictures on previous page, the lift appears to extend a number of floors past where the second side gets reduced. If they follow plan this would mean they would need to remove teh top of this lift, and that seems like a waste of time, and something I have not seen to this point.

....and James once again proves he needs to work on his English skills before getting involved with discussions and arguments around here.

Trust me Harkwood...NO ONE in their right mind thinks this thing is going to collapse and no one is insulting the workers.
