Reconstruction with expansion of the sport pavilion of the Olympic Stadium in Kyiv, to create numerous public toilets and other comfort zones for the visitors.

It's like a highrise combined with a stadium, my two passions are combined

I was never too fond of the design of this 70 year old arena, but it might actually turn out to be a great combination of a historical stadium with modern infrastructure. Besides the reconstruction will cost as much as a new stadium and will completely transform it.

However, the running tracks are rather annoying, although in this case they are of sentimental value to me, I've passed more than one gym examination running on them, because my school was of extreme proximity

As part of the Euro2012 preparations Kharkiv launches a program to utilize the efforts of medical and veterinary students to treat all the stray dogs in the city, give them all the necessary shots and castrate them. "Killing the animals is out of the question, but stopping them from reproducing is the only civilized option available".
http://www.korrespondent.net/main/201133/

I'm glad that the championship preparations affect almost every aspect of lives, speeding up everything that otherwise would have been done at much slower pace.

It's only been a couple of months, I don't understand why some people think that everything should be done by now. With all the EU money going into Poland, your country will be unrecognizeable in just 5 years, you have a very bright immediate future.

Yeah, that would have been strange anywhere else, but not in Ukraine. Anyway, it was filmed by Steven Spielberg, he was hired to make a movie about Shakhtar Donetsk but it was banned from being released because it revolved around a player that's no longer on the team.

While we're on off-topic, FC Shakhtar Donetsk signed Nery Castillo for 20 million euro's

Finally a world class footballer in ukrainian league again

yeah you're absolutely right, but we Poles like complaining very much, particularly about our own country. Even the day we were chosen as hosts of Euro, some grumbled that we're too poor, that will not handle it and so on...
Our kinda national feature.

Today he gave a press-conference and he said that didn't want to leave and that the president of Olympiakos "sold-him". He has a girlfriend here and they are axpecting their 1st child.
I don't know who sold who but with all that money he "didn't make any mistake".

I know that the Greek fans are sorry to lose him, but he had a good run in your league
