i'm a little dissapointed with the warsaw stadium. I was really hoping for a radical new design to showcase the city and country to the world, instead we have an old design type that has been replicated the world over. I really hope this isn't the final design and that other offers will bring something different.

what is the little stadium for?

Ukraine already started as you show us. When will you finish the stadiums. Your constructions are too fast...

BTW Poland will host Eurobasket 2009 also. Will Poland build new Arenas or current arenas are enough?

Thats not a design, its just a graphic to show where the stadium will be built, beside the old one, not instead of it as previously planned.

The structure inside the old stadium will be a sports hall.

The architect for the entire complex will be chosen in November.

This was all announced today.

not bad at all, but "thing" in the place of "X anniversary of PRL stadium" looks odd.

Well, not exactly. All stadiums shuld be finished in 2010, but we know now that this date is rather not real for polish stadiums (except Poznan and Krakow), so our minister of sport ask UEFA is there is possibility to end stadiums in 2011, and they agreed. So polish stadiums will be end in 2010/2011.

Ukraine is doing great job with stadiums However, we must remember that Euro 2012 isn't only about stadiums. I think we are in the same line for now:
- situation in Ukraine about stadiums is better than polish.
- situation in Poland about infrastructure is better than ukrainian.
but literally we'll be in the same line in 2012

There are some new arenas already in building and some old that would be after renovation.

Dnipropetrovsk stadium will be finished this year, in a month or two. Kharkiv stadium will be completed in 2008 and Donetsk stadium is suppose to be finished by December 30, 2008, but it might be early 2009. Odesa stadium will start construction at the end of this year, so it will probably be finished by the end of 2009. Kyiv Olympic stadium reconstruction will be done by 2010. Lviv stadium is unknown for now, but it's suppose to be finished by 2010 as well. That's including 2 reserve stadiums (Odesa and Kharkiv)

Poland is definitely building a lot more motorways than Ukraine , we don't have that much money

But in terms of city underground transportation Ukraine is doing rather well as well: Donetsk subway system will open in 2010 or 2011, Dnipropetrovsk will get at least 3 new subway stations, Kharkiv is also expanding its subway network and Kyiv is suppose to build a record number of stations till the championship.

P.S. I like this Warsaw stadium vision
