The building was still cloaked in that green construction "net" when I was in the city last week.

Pretoria looks much better than Joburg And Durban in the CBD. Hopefully the DA will win the municipality and make it even closer to Cape Town.
Good pics Briker this is what you do best not the ANC rants. |

Pule, I have to diagree. When I go to PTA, I always think:"awww sweet, how quaint (& dusty), everything is such miniature version of Jozi", but when I go over the crest under the Caltex garage Bridge in Midrand and I see the Joburg's twin skyline obscured by that blue haze on the horizon without fail I'm always impressed by its sheer awesomeness and potency - it's got that 'city on the hill' feel. And then the temperature cools down ever so slightly and then you see the cars, the trees, the vast highways.
There's nothing like Joburg, everything else is tiddlywinks, I just wish they'd sweep the streets everyday like in CPT(see I can give props where they're due). A freshly-swept and clean Joburg is incomparable imo...

As far as I'm aware no, there's too much haze, both natural and unnatural, but you start seeing it about 20 k's outside the city. However there's continuous urban development between the two cities, with some pretty big town in between, e.g midrand and centurion...
