Anatomy for Beginners SBS1 10:30 Monday Nights
Hi Guys,
Did any of you see that show last night on SBS1 entitled Anatomy for Beginners? It was perhaps the most graphic show I have ever seen on TV - but very interesting and informative. They dissected a real human on TV and in front of an Audience. I tried to look away but it was just so interesting - morbid curiosity I guess. Also it made me realise just how fragile the human body really is. Did anyone else see it? J

Yes I saw it and was pretty amazed by it. A real human body !!!
Did you see the part where they got this substance like thing that resembled the brains consistency and dropped it on the floor and how it just splatted everywhere. Just goes to show you how fragile the brain really is and how important the skull is. It was also amazing how long it took the guy to cut open the skull. Goes to show how hard the skull is and the job it is supposed to do. |

I really loved the show! Wasn't afraid to show anything, and was really informative at the same time!

As the series progresses there are parts carved up that make you wince !!! but if you can get past that it is very informative. I did Anatomy in my Personal Training courses and seeing the real parts and how it all works was a step further.

yeah no a fan of the disections.
Watching some old 80 year old chick who died of liver cancer getting her ribs cracked apart.. The noise of her ribs breaking was a bit to much for me. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ^fucking WORD!!!!!!!! I was watching it while online so was only paying half attention but it freaked me the fuck out. Looked like a whack german amish dude gleefully dissecting a body with a LIVE AUDIENCE!!!!!! Highly disturbing, I had to turn it off.

Hahaha, I agree! It's a bit scary thanks to that German guy. His accent and tunic scare the hell out of me, especially because he seems so excited about it all. I swear, the dissection isn't half as scary as the German man doing it on them! Haha.
