Gorgeous and very elegant by the way
That's Ten East Delaware. It's not part of this project and so closely resembles the Elysian because both buildings were designed by the same architect, Lucien Lagrange.

Looks like progress is slowing down... I want them to add the missing ornamentations, now!
Otherwise I have a feeling the drawing was awfully fooling us

Yes. It is a hat to laugh at. This building is standing there like a comedian.

first i noticed the project was taking a long time to complete, some value engineering was at work, then the condo/hotel concept would be strictly hotel rooms, now the developer lost an aspen hotel. i still love the building, but just goes to show you how the downturn has affected everything! a lot more could be done to finish the building, but i'm not so confident that it will be done now.

The top crown is just a bit too contemporary. More classical elements would definitely prized it up.

If it was the same color as the rest of the building, the crown would probably look great, but no..they wanted to make a statement
Nonetheless..the proportions work well
some tall spikes on the crown would instill some aggression

Is the crown finished? It doesn't align with the renderings

not sure if the crown is finished or not... they have definately made some changes from the original rendering. never saw any other renderings midway that showed the changes that have been made. my gut tells me they are trying to finish the building on a budget and have done some 'value enginnering' along the way. although i actually like having more of the 'stone' finishing at the top of the tower, i'm still hoping they will add in the spikes and other details that were originally shown.

If they are on budget I prefer they let the crown go. Hell this crown is not even as good as the Park Tower. And a few pages back some people praise it like it is some grand invention. Totally disappointed.
