Didn't catch this thread for quite a while and it is already that tall?!

Great to see that, I really love this retro design and as someone said in the beginning if this fits really great somewhere, it is Chicago.

Didn't like the render very much, but on seeing it in the flesh as it were and in the context of its surrounding ie the history of Chicago and the birth of the skyscraper, I am coming round to this very much. The cladding actually looks really good and I think will probably look like its been there since the 1930's when finished. A good thing when well executed which this appears to be.

There should be way more skyscraper developments looking like this, amending all the beautiful classic towers.

Just some data regarding the apartments, taken from the homepage:

Residences
- 51 private residences
- at most two homes per floor
- homes range from 3,400 to 6,400 sq feet
- world-class staff ready to assist residents in any possible way
> Upper-floor private residences start at $3.0 million; guest suites start at $600,000

I think I'll move from Neubrandenburg to Chicago

Looks like you both wanna leave Germany for the US then?

Nice progress, didn't realise it shot up so quickly. Already looking a giant.

^ Never, was just kidding. Ich liebe Deutschland!

I wouldn't mind if they build something like that with red Main-sandstone in Frankfurt though.

the facade looks a little pre-cast for my likings, but the street level proportions are spot on and the overall style is a nice, appropriate change of pace
