does anyone here have an idea as to why they are digging up the "dunes" surrounding Katara? They seemed almost done, and then they al of a sudden have started excavating large holes...

The new phase for Katara, they are digging for infrastructure and the foundations of buildings.

God only knows that they are building in front of the Intercon! I think its parking structures; am not sure. Or they should expand the exhibition center.

Although they SHOULD expand the exhibition center, HOWEVER that construction is part of Katara developments, what is it ? no clue.

I spoke to someone regarding this; and he told me this is offices for Katara.

Its in this thread. Some houses which the government built for celebrities. And an expansion of the restaurant areas.

for gods sake why on earth do they build villas in there! the areas along the beach starting from the old airport to lusail should be more like hotels, open places, entertainment areas or even open beaches instead of this
