Here's the DB signboard I mentioned above. Even though it doesn't say DB hospitality as I had claimed before, this is still enough to show that the site is owned by the group and the actual site.

Click on HD and then full screen for the best quality.

If it is u/c can we get a picture of the site? Even if it isn't, his should be moved to prep.

Any news on this project? If this is u/c, Mumbai will have 3 supertalls! Palais Royale 1050ft. , DB Tower 988ft. , and Orchid heights or something like that, 985ft.

Larven - our tower teaser has confirmed that this IS the Foster tower and it'll consists of about 100 floors while rising upto a height of 550 meters. The original tower was supposed to be around 700 meters tall.

I can bet that this is just a joke Something like comments on the first page itself .That this building is already in construction now it is 2010 and it is still a proposed building without a final design . So i have very little hopes on this one . Guys don't jump of your pants thinking it is a real design and this is a construction that is going up . You all are goingto be sadly dissapointed.

I really don't understand why Mumbai doesn't have skyscrapers it is the largest city in the world you'd think they needed them

I just read the presentation outline for DB tower. The rendering of that tower above has nothing to do with it, and, in fact DB tower is listed as a SUB 200,000 sqft tower. No was in hell that a 85fl tower is going to have 200,000 sqft. Sorry guys, but this one is a bust. Not even going to break the 100m mark.

I think this new proposal is not real, for 2 reasons;
1. It's not on Foster's website (supposedly the architect)
2. It's not "out on the web" like IndiansUnite said it is. It's only seen here, not anywhere else on the web...

But i do hope it's an actual real design that will be built

It's poor planning, finance problems and some laws. I think Mumbai has the same problem like Karachi, the officials look for bribes and also in Karachi there are some bullshit aviation laws.

not really. i dont know about karachi but in india we have severe height restrictions. they have been relaxed only very recently for a handful of projects

this tower has got all approvals and will be u/c sometime this year. the time to get all approvals was some 3 years, a few of the approvals had to be vetted by the supreme court and some of them by the civil aviation ministry

the height was reduced from 700m to 550m. a 300m+ building is already u/c at another location and so are a clutch of buildings from 75-90 floors
