I can assure you that the rendering is of the DB Tower and is 100% bona fide.

^God, I hope you're right , though I'm a bit hesitant to get my hopes up because several such outrageous proposals in the past that have fallen by the wayside.

If something is in China or Dubai none asks all these questions. But when it's in India....

We don't know what the official height is Larven said that it will be 500m+

don't get me wrong, i like the design and it would be really cool if mumbai gets a 500m+ tower, this city desperately needs it. just keep us posted when new information is released.

The Chinese and Dubai government plan their skylines decades in advance, the Indian government plans nothing at all. So its quite fair to have doubts.

I like this tower, but till DB officially comes up with a render it looks like a dud..

Hope this tower gets built in Mumbai.

things dont always work the same way in india. another 300m+ tower in bombay, palais royale, has got almost zero press coverage and no one knows the final height even though 20+ stories are already constructed. the problem is that in india skyscrapers are considered evil by most and legally its very hard to get clearances for tall buildings. so builders usually shy away from the media and dont release details till the building is almost finished. you will not see a full render of this from db till the structure is at least halfway up

hmm, let's see, maybe because of the fact that both China and Dubai tend to actually get their projects started and built. And also have sources' to back up their claim, when something is proposed...

As they should, India doesn't exactly have a good track record of building all the supertalls that have been proposed. Hell, it's hard to take some proposals seriously sometimes. It's more than fair to have doubts, especially when it took 8+ years to complete a pair of 249m towers.

It's only natural to ask.

Mainly government things fail. Or the people and government make things built but other compains fail like the Imperial Towers that just made it.

Park Hyatt, Marine Lines

I am guessing the one-time India Tower, then-DB Tower will be a 125 storey tower in Marine Lines, which will share space between Park Hyatt (run by Hyatt of Chicago) and service apts....this much is confirmed that Hyatt is promoting 2 u/c hotels in Mumbai at this very moment.....

Is this a realistic proposal? I hope so. Mumbai will become one of the world's financial capitals, and it deserves a great landmark like this.
