Maybe only the way the floorplates are anchored has changed.

The design hasn't been rejected, but obviously as it has evolved so has the design of the structure. It's actually a very strong structure with sway at the top minimized due to the 3 cores converging towards the top of the building which offers considerable stability....according to WSP.

There's room for improvement upwards, then. Early Burj Dubai estimates were around 700m, too, if I recall correctly.

If I'm looking at the render correctly then the actual inhabitable structure is only anchored to the 3 pillars running up the side of the building. Those must be incredibly strong.

Indian construction workers have already completed a 828m tall building in half a decade.

They said the same thing in China 20 years ago, that the Chinese mainland could never build skyscrapers. Look at where they are now.

just money is enough. look at dubai
both the Indian Tower and the Thu Thiem Tower are impressive. There seems to be a supertall boom in India and Vietnam.

I think both countries are taking the shortcut instead build 300m+ building why not build 500 600m+

In a metropolitan area with tens of millions of inhabitants it's surprising they don't have far more of them.
