All countries developin a lop-sided top heavy way.
It happened in the west when it industrialised and in China, S E Asia, Brasil and Eastern Europe more recently.
India is merely replicating that pattern.
Its an unfortuante fact of life .
It will take a century for poverty to be alleviated in India, the time it takes everywhere else
But long before that Indias cities will be supertall mega cites with huge wealth disparity.
Why other posters cant expalin that simply and without insults is beyond me?
Is it becuase they themselves are also ignorant ?

Agree with you. Better to show him(dreadathecontrols) the title of this thread.
Dreadathecontrols comment only on the status of the building not about the status of the country(INDIA)

Would not be surprised if you do not get any response. A friend of mine who is a builder as well, but mainly in the New Mumbai market was telling me yesterday that DB Reality is very hush-hush about this project and does not want to publicise this project a lot for now, they have the required funding and also are sure about selling any unsold portions.

I came here to see some updates. All I found was the 'holier than tho, You are all slumdogs and we are awesome rich' attitude.

Can we just make a separate thread where these trolls can lecture us about their Utopian, Rich, No Racism, Super Secular, Peaceloving, No war for oil, everybody have jobs, 20% GDP growth economy societies so that the rest of us can get decent updates without any interferences?

Hey dreadathecontrols,
I believe I speak for the majority of the people on this site,
we agree with deekshith.
Just because you don't believe this is U/C, stop trolling this thread!
You have made you opinions known, which is fine, but opinions
are just like *******s... everyone has one.
You are now crossing the line with the political shit and not
sticking to the theme of this thread.
I'm assuming your from Britain? Democracy right?
They are excited for India's first supertall, leave them be.
You have no proof either. If it bothers you so much, than
stay away from this thread. Your personal attitudes show right
through your words.

Back to the topic...
This tower would be an icon in any city, it will be great to see it rise!

Am I the only one who thinks this tower is really ugly? It looks like somebody made origami and decided to make it 2000 ft high.

*waits as hundreds of people insult him for his opinion*

bloody new worlders.

Who the f88k do you think you are ?
Learn to read
I was defending Indias socail position against an ignorant insult from a previous post by someone else and briefly explaining how it works in the geopoltical framework.

And you call that 'political shit'?

I am the only one on this thread who has bothered to
contact WSP and Fosters about this project

And you call me a troll ?

You are children who are , collectivly, attempting to ruin a once vibrant forum.
Shame on you
Hence my very low post count over the last 2 or 3 years.
(of that you all will be more than pleased , no doubt...)
When i have any information from either the architect or WSP I may share it with you.
Or. i might not bother

actually mclancer im only joking.

the thing is that as i acces this thread from my previous posts i got confused that it was in the international section,( ie the section where all the nationals get all over sensitive) rather than in the SSCI mumbai section.
But once i got started i just couldnt leave....

I have been in contact with the guy at WSP whose been working on it. But as some of his pics have been used on the UK forum i guess hes all too aware of SSC, guessed i was from here, and so politely told me to hop it.
the lady who he put me onto is away till 6th Dec.
Fostrers are known for not talking to unknowns other than through press releasees.
So basicly well never know for sure till it hits floor no. 90 in 5 years time...
im outa here

Guys, delete this thread!

Honestly guys, I don't understand why you even decided to open this thread in the international forum. What are we going to achieve by showcasing this to these international guys? Why can't we just keep it in our national thread? In the eyes of many here, we were/are and always will be a poverty stricken nation. If at all we have some self respect, why don't we Indians just mind our bloody business and stay in our national forum, instead of wasting our time, trying to justify what happens in our country to many here, who don't even have the slightest idea of the reality around them?

Lets us better stay in our own forum and let us not open any thread in the international forum! It is my sincere suggestion guys.

Cheers.

Um, neither Brazil, India, China or Russia are third world. Third world is like, Nigeria, or Somalia.
