There are literally 100's of buildings more than 30 floors already in mumbai/being constructed. The Adarsh society is a different case . it had permissions of only upto six floors, teh building did not get required permissions, its built on land that belongs to teh DoD , it was made in the name of Kargil war widows and was occupied by politicians and officials.

How can you compare these two , Jairam may getting in the way of a lot of projects but he is not a moron , he is a highly educated am motivated guy. Thou I too don't like the sudden "Green " bureaucracy in India

and also DB is a listed company with a good market Cap and is already executing huge projects in MUmbai and Pune including a few supertalls too. a few of them are nearing completion ...

BTW DB is a very shady company with multiple cross holdings and shadow ownership

Looks like they are starting to Dig the 3rd wing of the basement .

Wow I still can't believe this building is coming up in India .. makes me pretty proud , though very rich people will live and work here and at least as of now I won't have any benefit of it .. it will makes me proud :P

BTW thanks India 101 .. even though the basement work are pretty boring and take long time your pics are highly appreciated !!

I don't really care about the basement/foundation either, it's just to shut up the naysayers.

You make a good point. But I am pretty sure (hoping?) the Engineers must have done something to prevent something like that from happening.

With the more recent pics, it looks like the earth is strong enough to support itself, as oppose to the dirt here in Toronto. Once they get to clay they typically don't seem to board it up. With such a big project, I'm sure they have reason not to.

Sure they know what they are doing. Even the monsoon (strong wind system from the Indian Ocean) strong decrease in this time of the year.
