hmm actually

the current nearest under construction supertall to India tower are the twin towers of Orchid heights at 328m x 2 (speculation by SSC India members is that its 345 m)

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=624735

They are about 3 km from India tower.(direct distance)

To be honest, Mumbai is the city where the third world and first world meet,
1) They have the A/C bus which is well organized and non A/C poor bus allow passenger to "jump in or out" while the bus is moving.

2) They have the highend shopping mall for the richer to spend their time and poor begger is begging for money outside the shopping mall.

3) The most expensive house in d world at the same time huge number or slum is around.

4) They have one whole residential building is belong to one owner and Dhavari slum which is 1000 people is sharing a toilet.

5) Their street have many japanese and european cars but there is still massive of cars use since 50 years ago.

To be fair, i believe third world will be disappear as long as the economic is keeping growth. SO, AN AWESOME BUILDING CAN BE BUILT as long as the city needs it and utilize it after build.

Mumbai GO AHEAD !!!

Books don't bite! "Thirld world" is no longer a term in use since the falling of USSR. Nowadays is more appropiated say "developed and developing countries"

Hi all.

A fantastic design no matter where it is being built. This project will be a great addition to the worlds collection of extreme supertalls.

Happy New Year all.

Ray.

Red dot on top is World One, bottom is India Tower.

The green squares are some of the other super tall projects in Mumbai, and a few of these projects have 2/3 towers in them.

holy shit

are there really 16 supertall projects under construction?

what are the two one's beside India tower?

if all these projects see the light of day then Mumbai will be second only to dubai in terms of supertalls.

PS is the Wadala tower on there?

More than 16, I forgot some like Minerva. But some are only approved/proposed.

And also if you count the number in each separate project World One has two supertalls as well as Orchid Heights. Orchid Crown has three. That Sewri project has 8 towers

Matru Mandir (325m) & Shreepati Skies (301m.)

maybe if you have time for it it would be awesome to add like lines from the squares outside the map to a picture of the project with name and height, you know what i mean?

I wonder how much the apartments will sell for, Mumbai is one of the most expensive cities in the world, when it come to real estate. And the location of India Tower is another factor when it comes to the cost of the apartments etc.
