At least some foundations are happenning. Let's see if it turns out to be the India Tower or something else.

It is always good to read the previous pages of the thread before asking such a question, or at the very least, briefly glance through what has already been posted earlier

Have you actually been reading this thread?
It has 78 pages, but the actual construction updates could hardly fill one...

Same question back at you. You might have also read there are not many people there who could take pics from the location. Hence the updates are slow. Construction is definitely happening until the last update. Daily updates wont happen unless this starts rising out of the hole.

That wouldn't be a problem. The problem which I think Culwulla also meant to point out is the pages and pages of out-of-topic chatter, which should be either in the India or Mumbai sub-forums or on Skybar or in PMs.

Apologies for adding to the off-topic, btw. Just expressing some frustration about the state of this thread

Sadly, its gonna be like this until the building comes out of the hole. Lack of updates would naturally lead to this. On the other hand, lack of updates here doesn't mean construction is not happening. As of now, it is. Lets hope it makes it out of that hole soon

And Let's hope they don't change the design (the Spire extruded from a triangular base), and the height, but could go taller.......The design is just amazing, unique and iconic

The building is all but a BIG hole right now and we have got pics of it .. the construction site is protected by a 30 ft barrier and 24 hour guards still we have been getting pics of the site every month or so .. We get information as it comes when "India Tower" is in news or in some other companies plans or documents ....

So people who want daily updates can come back to this thread after a year or so and when this monster eventually rises above teh ground level we hope to get pics much more regularly before that this will be a troll magnet !!!

From Forbes:

Shahid Balwa: Youngest billionaire on list and partner of Vinod Goenka (No. 54) in property developer DB Realty and telecom startup Etisalat DB Telecom (formerly Swan Telecom) of which he is vice chairman. Launched its Cheers mobile service in March, bagging Bollywood star Aamir Khan as brand ambassador. Eitisalat was recently denied approval to raise holding to over 50%. Also looking to buy stake in another firm. Interests include unlisted hospitality arm which owns two Le Meridien Hotels and is building 11 more, including the 135-story India Tower in South Mumbai, that will house a Park Hyatt Hotel due to open in 2015.

- Yeap and a little more congruent with the 720 m height of this big boy. I wish we had some more design details of this tower.

IMO the design of this tower is fantastic just hope it fits in well with it's environment & not look too out of place. Well done Mumbai, you have a winner with this tower...cheers.

Yeah....I am hoping for the same Melboypete....But it is only natural for this place to look as sexy as the manhattan's or Toronto's skyline in a few years with tonnes of supertalls coming up....And thats if it does in the future...

I am becoming more and more convinced that this tower will get built, as hinted by many websites, like forbes and also constructionweekonline:

From Construction week online (although it is bit old - 4 April)

Doka’s experience on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai has resulted in the Austrian formwork specialist clinching contracts for two other super high-rise towers, group CEO Josef Kurzmann told Construction Week at the official opening of the company’s new UAE headquarters in Jafza South. These are the 555m-high Lotte Super Tower 123 in Seoul, South Korea and the 700m-high India Tower in Mumbai.
