From what I see on the last photo, the tower is flanked with poor houses/slums. Not exactly a clean area

Those are not poor houses or slums. Just old, dilapidated buildings. This is not even close to a slum. This is one of the most expensive piece of real estate on the planet in fact.

As in Mecca (Abraj Al-Bait), surroundigs will be clean . The border is a park. Only a side is dirty.

I understand your remarks with an western Point of View .. but Mumbai is different , even different from most of the big cities in India .. the area that you see is super expensive and the people who own it can easily sell it and buy a couple of luxury apartments in the upcoming tower !!!

The market economics did not work here as it has been highly controlled , only now with a little liberalization you see the values being unlocked and all these supertalls coming up .. it will only get better as the economy of Mumbai and India grows !!

As you can see Markshen that the pouring concrete on this section has been completed ( you can see the patch in the first pic in the center ) .. The 2 concrete pouring machines have been moved and as said by CoolGuyz they have all moved to the 3rd wing of the building which we cannot see in these pics !! also you can see the assembling crane has been removed !! I think thats enough for 9 days ... also we cannot see how much progress has been made in the 3rd wing which is the focus right now !!

SO that means work is going at pretty good speed !!

P.S - it was like a game we used to play when we were kids where we had to catch the difference between 2 seemingly identical pics :P

Yes,thank you for your explanation. But I still can not find the core. In the middle or it will have 3 cores? I guess the core will grow from that triangle aera in the middle. If so, this building is unique.

yes .. It has 3 (or 6) cores .. and is quite a unique design ... we have discussed about it at length with superimposition of the detailed building plan on the site .. you can see all that in previous posts ...

Contrary to what most people think here we know a lot about the plan and the building .. you just need to flip over the pages as their is a lot of crap in between because people coming here and expecting it to be built in a fortnight and disappointed , giving their conclusions about India and Mumbai as .....

Thanks Soroban for the great picture explanations !!

Guys...Is there really another wing???...I thought third wing wouldn't fit that site......The design would make more sense if there are three wings...

Is there another view.....of the wing....I guess its to hard to take a picture from the other side

Most people and equipment must be working on the 3rd core, except we never see as there is a tree in the way.
