Precisely. This project looks like it is in go slow or on hold mode.

hehe. i was the one to post that on SSC first. the waqf board issue is a minor nuisance, many properties get the same notice here. its something that can be sorted in a few weeks at most

the financials of DB may be secure, but if you follow the 2G scam and the arrest of both their top 2 personnel then you would know its impossible for them to raise any debt from the market right now

its too big a project and too far forward to be abandonded completely. but its certainly on hold for now. either db will continue with it if things get better for them or they will have to sell out

Well even if it is on the go slow burner, at least it is still under construction.

Since you're forever droning on about corruption in India among other things don't you want the corrupt people behind this project to be punished Mr. Theta?

Or it's okay to bribe ministers as long as you're building a 700m tall "Pride of India"?

Well the corrupt should definitely be punished, but where have I said they shouldn't be? How about 99% of the Indian population stop paying bribes as well?

So you're happy with the project continuing even though the founder and a promoter of DB Realty are sitting in Tihar jail?

This is a new pic. They had removed the second crane base for some reason. Thats why it is being said that the project seems to be at least temporarily on hold.

On hold with workers in the site? The Pentominium was in this same situation and wasn't considered on hold. Ping'an too!!

There is a difference between being "on hold" and "temporarily being on hold". Temporarily means as of now it is - the status could change in the future.

Also, even if we assume this has gone on hold, will the workers go away one fine day?

I would only be worried if they remove the already installed crane. Thats when this project could go on hold.

Till then, this is temporarily on hold either due to the WAKF board issue or the much graver 2G Scam.

Although I ideally would want to see the slowdown being due to the monsoons.
Btw, it was a day of heavy rains here in Mumbai. Impossible to work under these circumstances.

Yep, they'll probably have to keep stopping this when it rains to much.

Guys.. Its just a monsoon prep they are doing. My friend who is conncted to this project through a material supply company has said that for the next few months, the progress will be slow because of monsoon and the project is definitely on...

No need to worry..

Then I just wonder how they are going to stick to that tight schedule of 72 months with that monsoon brakes. But as long as it really is on I'm more than satisfied.

This project cannot be on hold. It cost money to rent the cranes.
If it was on hold, they would certainly not waste money renting an unused crane.
Besides, all the "non-believers" would have a field day saying I told you so...
We can`t have that.

They are using the crane, another sign that construction has NOT stopped.
