I love that rendering! 7WTC looks like a geeky outcast (even though I love it) with all of the towers there.

The best cluster of supertalls I've ever seen. Is that 7WTC getting in on the fun? Lower Manhattan is back, back!

I don't like the towers, because I tink they don't fit well into the serrouding. They would fit better in an Asian city, because of all they glass they put into the towers.

The design's are beautiful, but I think they are just a little bit to modern for NYC. I would have been nice if they would worked with some other materials. But, no doubt that it will be a spectaculair area, with some amazing high towers.

Time went by so fast for me. It's hard to believe that 2007 is already half over and construction on these towers starts in 5 or 6 months. From what I hear, all of the buildings are almost fully designed and there will be differences from what we've seen in the renderings. They are currently at a stage where almost every detail is designed. I've seen new renderings of the Tower 3 lobby and IT'S STUNNING!!! I can't wait till all the new renderings are posted. You haven't seen nothin' yet. This new World Trade Center is beyond words.

Thats the key: THE CONTRAST. Glass would go extremely well with the surroundings, and will make the towers stand out from far away! Wait and watch

Exactly, that is the beauty in all of it. Ny has so many styles from so many different era's. What about chase, and 1 liberty, and the modern scrapers and pomo scrapers downtown? The glassy new scrapers are just what we need in lower Manhattan and Midtown. New york City should neve stop at art deco and beaux arts, instead it should continue to intergrate all these styles. Ny will never stop growing.

There is nothing wrong with some contrast, but, in my opinion there has to be a connection between buildings. I really don't see any connection at all.

(at the construction site of 2WTC)

Here is my take on the architecture on each of them, and please don't grill me on it if not satifised.

Freedom Tower- Looks more like a rip-off of the SWFC only w/o the hole and has a long spire, plus the architect might sue for copying their idea.

200 Greenwich St- This is a shot in the foot for Norman Foster especially after he built the something great like the Hearst Tower and when he gave his design for the WTC site.

175 Greenwich St- Looks like the JHC on steriods.

150 Greenwich St- I think a saw an office building in midtown Manhattan that looks just like it.

130 Liberty St- After seeing the possible rendering, I would rather just see Deustche Bank repaired than this.

Already under construction?

Sure hope it gets built with the current design. It would be the best building in the entire NY skyline.

BTW, thanks for the new renders.

That crane looks like its more of a resource for the Freedom Tower.

Anyways, very exciting
