I agree completely. World Financial Center is one of most beauitlful commerical complexes even I seen. It should stay clean no matter what to stay looking good all the time.

Aren't the tops of the WFC made of copper?

Well I don't get all this talk about painting the tops then. I've never heard of this done. I've heard of aged copper being replaced but never painted over.

Thanks to all who answered my question. 110 floors was what I was under the impression of.

My guess is that a lot of people were under the impression that the tops were painted, not copper. Now the old and new pictures of the WFC makes sense to me, as I was not aware that they were actually made of copper.

Even if they are copper, can't they still be refurbished?

Well I remember hearing something about the green color doesn't go too deep in the copper and could be pretty easily removed. The only problem with that is as soon as the copper comes into contact with humidity/rain, etc, it will turn right back. Personally I don't see what the deal is. I like the way they look, sure they could probably use a wipe down but not until the new WTC is complete.

I like the look of the green copper. You think if you were a top notch engineer you wouldnt know that copper turns green? This is the way the person designed the building wanted it to look and it should be respected. On the other hand if the copper was de-tarnished it could be sealed with a clear coat. Some people do this to copper dormers on their homes.

I just didn't think the song fit in well with the towers. I'd change it but I'm too tired right now.

WTC TOWER 5

Looks like she's 800 feet tall. I'm very pleased because it could have been horrible.

Wow, a giant toilet! where's the flush

Kidding aside, I think the design is a little bold. Maybe I bit Dubai-ish too if you ask me. I think it looks alright, but I will have to see a render with the entire WTC complex and the entire Manhattan skyline to see how it really looks.

I utterly love it. 5WTC looks amazing, especially because it fits in so well with the other skyscrapers. It looks sort of like the UN HQ, but about several thousand times better.
