I think the building is fine also. It's unique and inspiring (inspire what you will). It's probably the only building in the whole WTC complex that is unique, new and fresh.

Inspiring!

It looks nothing even close to a toilet, it's not fully designed, and there's not enough info to judge it in such a light yet. They may be adding trusses to the cantilever, which I think will make this cool building look even better. The lights will make it look amazing from the memorial at night. It's a simple tower, just like Tower 4. We're lucky there's a WTC Tower 5 at all.

Each one of the WTC towers and all of the new skyscrapers around them look ultra-modern; this area will have an unmatched view.

I think this sexy beast is the tower that's being built next to Tower 5:

This looks a lot like that great tower in Singapore.

Just a suggestion, but why don't we just make individual threads for each WTC? It would eliminate some confusion I think.

^Normally, I'd be on board with splitting them off into separate threads, but so much of the discussion in this thread relates to all three buildings. Maybe we could do it when construction advances to a later stage and they become more individualized. Right now, all we have is a big hole in the ground.

I thin this building doesnt look bad. Its just that the other towers are so beautiful that our expectations have increased so high.

An like Ebola said, we should be thankful for even having a Tower5. And its all office on top of that!!!!!!!

Why make indivisual threads when they are all apart of one complex in the same area? I think all it will do is take up more room on the board. And it would be hard to find each thread for each tower, because obviously, certain towers are favorites, and some dont get as much attention, like Tower 4, and probably Tower 5.

Ok then. By that logic, why do we have a separate thread for the WTC1? It's part of the same project and same complex.

Because the 1WTC thread pre-dates this one.

JP Morgan-Tower 5

I'm not sure if I really love it , but one cool feature is you can look at the cantilevered part as the lower part of the "J" and upper part of the "P" for the "J.P." in the JP Morgan. Just something to think about.

These are going to be some of the more significant towers built in the US in the next couple of years.

And WTC1 is already officially under construction, but these are still under site prep. When the FT is completed in 2011, these will still be rising.
