NEW Rendering!

I wonder why that huge screen shows lower Manhattan without the old or new WTC.

And what are all those bubbly things to the left? Cool elevator; utterly amazing tower.

Wow, very impressive. But, it's going to be quite a While before the building looks anything near like it does in the new rendering. I can't wait.

One of my favorite skyscrapers in New York City is the United Nations building on the East River. Oh, did anyone mention NYC is the headquarters of the United Nations? Is it not disingenuous for someone to argue that since the General Assembly of the United Nations is located in NYC that NYC can claim to be the Capital of the World?!?!

This render gives an idea of their true impact from Midtown.

That's the best render yet....thanks for posting it. NY isn't falling behind anyone and it never will. No other city has the persona that NY does and no skyline can buy it.

I love these buildings and the memorial...perfect replacement for the twins we lost.

So I was wondering.. with WTC 2 is the glass still going to get darker towards the bottom or not. I liked the idea, but according to what some people are saying that isn't going to happen anymore. Reguardless, I still love the tower and its design.

But doesn't it look much better without dark glass? I hate dark skyscrapers. So damn depressing and monolithic.

Anyhow, I'm starting to see A LOT of activity on the plots of towers 2-4! These babies will start up VERY SOON. We'll be having the groundbreaking ceremony for Tower 4 in weeks. Then I bet Tower 3 will follow shortly after, and maybe Tower 2 in early spring of 2008.

I think when it was darker and less transparent, it looked fatter and shoter, but that's just me.

This new complex, WTC Towers 1-5, 7WTC, the GS Tower, 123 Washington, and the WFC and ect., will be the most amazing thing on earth! Stand in the middle of all of those towers and you'll wet your pants!!!

absolutely, when all these projects are finished the Skyscrapercluster of Downtown will be the most impressive in the world i think. not to forget that until 2013 more projects will grow in downtown
