That is my opinion, and you shoud respect that. I belive is ugly and don't fit the WTC site. I don't say about anyone that belive tower 2 is beautiful, that is visually impaired.

I agree with luci203 100%.

Tower #2 is beautiful - what an insult to an incredible design.

My own gut feeling is that Tower 4 will look better in real life than the renderings.

On Earthcam it looks like they are getting close to finishing the excavation of the WTC2 site.

I think they should and will have 3 individual threads for each of these towers, even though this thread has 62 pages. Otherwise this thread will just jam up in the future.

If and when this thread is split in three, hopefully we will have some construction progress appearing above ground.

What will become of this thread?

Will it be preserved, locked and archived?

Tower 2 will be U/C soon. Having separate threads will make it a lot more organized, and as buildmilehightower said, this will get all jammed up.

i dont know why you guys are critiquing the old spire base design...

it needs something there, otherwise it'll look like a spire just plopped on top.

who knows this spire might not be the final design, anything new can come up for the spire or even part of the structure.

Actually, it needs a real spire that's designed to blend into the building instead of just a stick stuck on top of the building to get to the 1776' height! A true spire should be integral to the design of the building, not something all of a completely different design philosophy.
