Amazing progress on this one. It does look like there isnt a lot of floor space around the cylindrical core. Im sure once completed, it'll be a wonderful addition to the skyline

I am really excited about all the development in London at the moment. This building looks like its going to be a good one, quite modest and complements Battersea power station really well. Certainly from the pictures I think I prefer it to the Shard. It is exciting to see it go up, but it seems really, really tall from London Bridge! I´m pleased too that more building projects are including sensible environmental elements. It is good to see that there will be apartments too, so the building wont stand empty at least!

There's actually housing and office shortage in London so I doubt that will be a problem.

Why is it that for many of the new skyscrapers in London, the core completely out-paces the rest of the structure? The Shard, The Heron, and now this as well. I do not tend to see this type of construction in other cities either... it's kind of anti-climactic when the core tops out and the steel still has 20-30 floors to go to catch up!

Saw this today from the Thames Cruise boat just before it docked at Westminster Pier: (Apologies for the quality of the mega-zoomed shot!)

That is not a strange construction technique at all. I remember seeing pictures of skyscrapers being built in the 1970s where the exact same thing happened: the core topped out much earlier than the rest of the building.

There is one that has suddenly appeared in Manchester aswell!
