even though paan is going out of fashion, betel palms should be preserved for its timber (very straight, long, tough, and fine grained) and .... see how beautiful they look!!

Never knew these types of areas even existed in BD, thanks to posting the images tanzirian. The govt seriously failed to promote these areas to it citizens.

Thanks everybody...but real credit to the photographer of course. I actually mispelled the name of the place...it should be "Dulahazra". According to the photographer it is near Cox's Bazar.

This place is just crying out for some tasteful resort development. I can visualize a couple of seafood-shacks on both sides of the pier, a nice seaside walking trail with thatched hut shops on the inland part.

Somebody should make a nice overall proposal...it can eventually turn out like this...

Does anybody know when the Hurricane season is around St. Martin?

BTW -- the above is from Lahaina in Maui --which was developed in early 1900's. Conditions were similar to St. Martin then.
You had me fooled there for a second!

Great shot on post # 530

Didn't know places like this exist in Bangladesh! That is a great picture. I wonder at what elevation the picture was taken.

Impressive Dulzahra Park. Again...and again.... I can't believe this is the most densely populated large country in the world-- the nature spreads so widely that ppl hardly can be seen.

I know there are many exotic islands in the south ( Barisal ) , anybody been there ? any pics ?
