if this is without antenna's the final height probably did change too and this building is only 280m tall, i really hope it has no spires and still is a supertall, but i doubt so honestly.

never seen a render with an antenna or spire yet. i hope this won't end at 280m...that would mean we loose 1 supertall

from the last page, and it was not the first one, i remember several diagrams similar to this one featuring a height of ~280m:

can anyone confirm what height this building has without spires? all the developers diagrams i saw always featured spires, but all the renders i saw never featured spires. i really hope the building has no spires (they just did not suit the building) and it still is the height of 302m.

Is there some technical reason why they haven't started the cladding?

so, if they don't build spires the tower will be just 280m tall? is that correct?

yes i think so. it should be 281m right now and the spires would bring it to 302m, unless the playes were old and the structure right now is already over 300m, which would amaze me for sure.

for now, that will surely change when a 700m monster rises rirectly behind it or even earlier when the supertower across the lake starts to rise above the gates head

Because of its extraordinary shape this building functions as an icon, it is not only because of the height. A taller box doesn't simply take over the iconic value of this building.
For example: The most iconic building of Hongkong is still the Bank of China, no taller building like 2ifc can claim that title.

CCTV is the icon of modern Beijing, even if it's not very niticeable on the skyline.

I do love boxes, though.

Without the spires I don't think it is a supertall, because I count the same number of floors as on the diagram, unless the floors are higher which is not the case I believe.
