Well, bus routes are over the motorway, but the busstops are definatly not ON or immediatly adjacent to the motorway. Mostly near exits.

In Estonia we have express buses between bigger cities and local bus lines. Express buses stop ONLY in bigger cities and local buses run between smaller places: smaller towns, villages etc and the idea is that these local buses run on local roads not on motorways. We don't have motorways but during a I class road construction going on at the moment, many km's of parallel roads are built and local bus lines and bus stops are moved from national road to that parallel road. Then you can keep the people away from the national road and improve road safety.

Estonia has only 1.3 million inhabitants, of which 400.000 live in the capital Tallinn, making the country sparsely populated. In capacity, there is generally no need for longdistance motorways.

But a motorway from Riga to Tallinn to Narva would be nice for transit traffic to Sankt Petersburg.

Our moderators have a very long patience I think this dude makes Bulgaria look bad. I visited Bulgaria a while ago, and I saw a lot of good and friendly people there but nothing like this bad-mannered hot-tempered teenager who doesn't even live in Bulgaria.

I will return to Bulgaria in one week and live there for at least a half year, i will try to live there longer ofcourse, you don´t know if i am friendly, i can be very friendly. If i say an opinon towards soemthing it is not personal and caunts for other things aswell, here in this example, yeah i find it shitty that the next motorway from Sandanski is 130 km away, so now even a bulgarian can wish Bulgaria unpaved roads because i said that or what? You don´t know me in real live but i tell you i am a friendly person.

Although not highway(no expressway either), but bus stops in urban areas could be built like this on highways:
Main road 44

Construction of Varna-Burgas motorway to start '08

The Bulgarian regional development ministry said it is prepared to start in March 2008 negotiations on the award of a concession contract for the Cherno More motorway which links the Black Sea towns of Varna and Burgas.

The route of the motorway is currently being particularised, said regional development minister Asen Gagauzov.

According to one of the latest blueprints for the motorway, it was to be routed from Burgas through Kableshkovo, St Vlas, Bania, Obzor, Priseltsi and once having reached Beloslav was to link up with the Hemus motorway via a bridge facility.

There is no working draft for the route so no details are available as of yet, said Gagauzov.

The 103 km shoreline-hugging motorway is expected to unbottleneck the Balkan Ranges passes that have to be negotiated in some stretches of the current route. Only 10 km of the facility have been completed so far.(Dnevnik)

I don't think it's unusual to name highways, but the names are in addition to the numbering. For example, in France there's the A9/La Catalane, which continues in Spain as AP-7/Autopista del Mediterráneo.

In Italy A1 was aka 'Autostrada del Sole' (motorway of the sun), A10 'Autostrada dei Fiori' (motorway of the flowers), A8 'Autostrada dei Laghi' (motorway of the lakes) and so on
We also use a contract form to name 'em: AutoSole, AutoLaghi etc...
