That being said, from now on I would expect costs to go up a bit since all unfinished highways are going to be build on a more challenging terrain as well as some new tender procedures that put more emphasis on long-term economic impact rather than construction costs.
I would add also:
- the crisis made the construction companies look just for job without much profit with which they would keep their employees and construction vehicles
- low labour cost
- technical design done in advance
- easy terrain of tendered sections
- cheaper construction technology
- fewer additional elements(for example no antiblinding elements)

don't forget also the cheap building materials (mainly the local aggregates/filling agents not petrol/steel which depend on world market prices)

I like the progress off the struma motorway, part of the struma motorway can be opened right now, if crashbarriers where added and markings were painted.

though a second (Vidin - Calafat) is being built currently - it's pretty far advanced IIRC, so will be theoretically cross-able very soon and open before too long.

Iam very happy the Struma motorway and also other motorways are being built so he3avily in Bulgaria. Even this year there are other sections announced to be built, we have never had such a government, that starts building sections of one motorway, be3fore others are even finished, that is just priceless and wordless, absolutely great. Anyone in Bulgaria is happyn and talking about the motorways being built and the fact that they are so good, the motorways in Bulgaria is another thing to be happy about. Anyone who has seen the Struma motorway from a foreign country, has commented about it's superior quality. A job partner of my father once came to Bulgaria and what I did not expect is, that he commented on the superior quality of the struma motorway. When the next sections wil be built and with such a great asphalt as the existing one, it wil be even better and hopefully help the economy a lot. People passing through Bulgaria will be amazed when they see the mountains and the higlands at Dolna Dykania, while driving on a motorway like no other, the bridges, the enbarkments, the junctions and overpasses, the incredibly smooth asphalt, all those elements make the Struma motorway the Struma motorway, a motorway which is talked about when someone sees it.

So...strumatic?

But what is Strumatic, we have to define what Strumatic is, a word that refers to the experience of driving/travelling on a superior motorway called Struma motorway or to the ultimative psychedelic road experience only possible on brand new roads and most effective when there´s snow outside so that the shiny crashbarriers shine even more and reflect the snow and the asphalt looks even better. I must think of it´s best definition first. -Radi Click
