Next month will be very important for bulgarian highways development. Four sections part of three motorways will be opened. Probably the most important and maybe historical moment will happen at A1 Trakiya where the last 35 km. between Yambol and Karnobat will be finished. Bulgaria is going to have its first entirely finished motorway.
Two short but very important sections of A2 Hemus will be opened.
And the first EU financed LOT of A3 Struma between Dolna Dikanya and Dupnica will be completed.

So this is the opening schedule:
-June 30-th 17km. of A3 Struma between Dolna Dikanya and Dupnitsa North
-July 5-th 35km. of A1 Trakiya between Yambol East and Karnobat
-July 5-th 8km. of A2 between Shumen East na Panayot Volova
-July 30-th 8,5km. of A2 between Sofia Ringroad and Yana

All contracts on Niš-Dimitrovgrad motorway are signed. On last 28km section Čiflik-Pirot works will start soon, on other sections works started in last 2-3 years.
E75 and E80 are funded from international creditors (EBRD, WB, EIB, Hiperb), while E763 (Bg-Bar) with Chinese and Azer credits.

When will motorway Niš-Dimitrovgrad be finished in whole? In three or four years? You don't have four years to compete with Vidin-Calafat bridge.

The most important that it will be built. I think it will be open full for traffic in best scenario late 2015. but probably in 2016. Because all sections will be soon underconstruction, from my point of view as a driver, we don't need race anymore. Competition are only mentioned because of money from motorway users and cheap credits for construction and of course elections

I didn't quite understand what exactly you are asking. The western arc of Sofia Ring Road should be completed in 06.2014.

I wanted to know when it will probably be completed (June 2014 ).
To legitimate my question, I specified the latest sources which were ambiguous .

Thanks for your quick answer .

Maybe by "for the first year" they meant only the remaining 2013
Then 100 000 vehicles for 6 months is 556 cars per day.
415 000 vehicles for 6 months is 2306 cars per day.

Here's another prognosis from a project manager published in a magazine:

Statistics about the first days of the New Europe bridge Calafat - Vidin fromhere:

The first day(Saturday):
1. Entering Romania - 195 trucks, 635 cars, 95 minibuses, 1 bus, 2318 people.
2. Entering Bulgaria - 472 trucks, 582 cars, 99 minibuses, 40 bikes, 16 motorcycles, 2 buses, 2425 people.

The second day(Sunday):
1. Entering Romania - 444 trucks, 600 cars, 95 minibuses, 11 motorcycles, 2545 people.
2. Entering Bulgaria - 266 trucks, 814 cars, 96 minibuses, 19 bikes, 2 buses, 2975 people.

So 2000 vehicles per day is quite doable for the bridge so short after opening.

The bottom line is Bulgaria ows Romania 5 motorcyclists.

So the unofficial deadline for the last whole section of A1 E773 Trakiya (Yambol-east - Karnobat) is 12.07.2013, by the info provided by our member Galin.
