According to Bulgarian legislation it's not an expressway sign, but an automobile road sigh.

Art. 54 (1) Д7
http://www.mvr.bg/NR/rdonlyres/C0ACA...6/0/PPZDvP.pdf

Still there is no sigh for an expressway in the Bulgarian legislation, though there is a legal definition for an expressway.

Does anybody know when will be built the segment Panayot Volovo - Belo Kopitovo on Hemus highway? It has few kilometers, but would be very useful (for Romanians...).

And end-of-motorway sign at the end. Anyway, Radi has been right all along: Struma looks awesome.

Here is the promised link. They drove on it on 11th July, 4 days before the official opening date.

Next year probably. They've just announced the tender for the archeological works on that section. They should start in the beginning of September and last 75 days. After that construction works can start.

This is because as already known Lot 0 isn't a motorway and Lot 1 where the video ends is.

But where is the beginning-of-motorway sign?

No, by its beauty and elevation (up to ~920 m).

Well, labeling and numbering are not the strongest sides of the Bulgarian roads/ motorways.

No, by its beauty and elevation (up to ~920 m).
The following lots go through even prettier areas.

Are there plans to complete the entire A2 in the end? Something like 2014-2020 Eu budget?

EU funds will be sufficient for Yablanitsa-Tarnovo, because of the presumable costs for lot 3 (including long tunnels) of A3 Struma motorway.

Tarnovo-Shumen probably will need money from the state budget or taking a loan if the government wants to complete A2 till 2020.

Good news from today. The minister of regional development issued construction permit for the ~5km section of A2 to Belokopitovo.

Will it be completed in 2014?
And a general question, should A2 go near Veliko Tarnovo or somewhere between VT and Byala?
