Oh, I see, thank you.
As I see the photos, the road can be opened-if not in October, as the deadline says-in November, works are in a good pace and that can happen.

I've seen quite some bridges of A1 and A2 being renovated. Is there a programme to modernize the bridges? The works seem very extensive, stripping the entire bridge deck.

Google Earth has imagery dated 1 August 2015 of the A2 between Sofia and Botevgrad, it shows 4 bridges under renovation, including Eleshnitsa and Bebresh viaducts.

Yes, as part of reconstruction of A1 (Sofia-Plovdiv) and A2 (Sofia-Yablanitsa and Varna-Shumen).

Actually those bridge reconstructions were forced by the 2012s earthquake. Here some old pictures from the worst of A1 then. The A1 bridge that can be seen on the google earth imagery from 1 August 2015 without deck is exactly that from the pics.

P.S. Here are some screenshots from the worst one on A1:

And for the statistics: the Bebresh viaduct opened to traffic in both directions on 21. september, where some works remain at the bridge pillars.

On 26. September a 114 ton pre-stressed concret main girder was replaced by a 30 ton steel one at the Eleshitsa viaduct due to lowered carrying capacity.

On 25 September NCSIP signed a design & build contract for lot 3.3 (Kresna-Sandanski) of A3. The stretch is 23.6 km long. The price is BGN 234 million without VAT. The construction works, after the design phase, are expected to begin in spring 2016.

A mayor accident happened some hours ago in the Bulgaria's longest tunnel Vitinya on A2 Hemus, which is just more than 1.1 km long, where 50 cars and trucks crashed into each other. There are 3 causalities.

SOURSE (with pictures)

I don't want to imagine what would happen if something like that happened in a 15 km long tunnel, such as the planned Kresna tunnel on A3 Struma!

Edit:
a dashboard camera captured the moment of the accident: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rUxveN7NUA

Car recorder video of the pile-up in Vitinya tunnel. The police are blaming the drivers for not complying with the speed limit, but also it seems that some substance spilled on the road detains the cars to stop normally.

Borisov said that Bulgaria will open for traffic the last stretch of its Maritsa motorway linking Sofia and Istanbul in a few days, which will make travel to and from Turkey much easier.

Are there any plan to build a motorway between Sofia and the border of Serbia? To connect the country's network to Europe?

The government plans to open Dupnitsa-Blagoevgrad section till the end of the month, maybe even earlier.

WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY DOING THAT NOW?now thousands of people from syria and the middle east just gonna make their way to hungary thru Serbs pretending they have parents in Serbia. I think that they should wait till the warfare in the East gonna come quiet. That is obviously a threat to south eastern Europe. Think they should wait till feb.

Very well!
Then the only missing section of the A3 will be the Blagoevgrad-Kresna Gorge-Sandanski, right?
