Efficiency is maybe in Croatia, but surely not in Slovenia.

Struma motorway asphalt and marking. Yesterday I returned to Bulgaria and made a lot of pics again, also of the E-79, ofcourse, in the middle of the motorway my cousin stopped to drink something and parked on the wide emergency lane. Both could open the dor and exit the car safely because the emergency lane was so wide.

If you do that in the Netherlands:

Stopping at emergency for no emergency reason: € 130,-
Driving at emergency for no emergency reason: € 200,-

Grand total: € 330,-

And more, moving out from emergency lane after stopping. I guess in the Netherlands the law is the same as Luxembourg and you have no right to continue driving after you've stopped on an emergency lane. You should call someone to take off your car. So it's either one more fine or you pay for the transportation of the car out of the motorway

Oh my god that´s rediculous, why is the emergency lane there then? If a car engine breaks during driving you wont be forced to park just where another car is parked already. On the Struma motorway tracks sometimes drive on the emergency lane.

For emergencies! Filming the asphalt and markings is NOT an emergency, at least for the vast majority of the world. And surely making pictures is not equal to an engine break for the non-radis.

I can almost see Radi in front of the cop as he's writing him a ticket:
-But Mr. Officer I had to take EMERGENCY pictures before the potholes appear on the fresh asphalt and the shiny crash barriers get rusty.

LMAO. Now that I thought about it - you get free health care too. That alone can run well over $1000 a year. Say, do you know any road construction workers that can take a good hit by a car? :-)

Yes, they have built quite some sections in 2007 but now they build nothing except the short Ljulin motorway, the most rediculous thing is that they work ******* slow, they say that they work fast but too me that´s not fast, they should than open on Saturday at least to finish this motorway for new year, that would be a nice christmas present and I could impress my parents which are pesimistic towards Bulgarian development. Because i doubt any other section will be done by this year.

Over 1000 km. of 2x2 expressways planned in Bulgaria.

1270 km. of 1st class roads will be turned into 2x2 expressways with speed limit 120 km/h. This is the plan for road development of the governemt till 2020. you can see those roads on the map above.

These are the Motorways in Bulgaria for comparison below.

Quote:
