this building is a lot bigger than 1WTC. it has a far smaller crown than that big antenna of 1WTC and is still bigger. saying it is a few meters taller than 1WTC doesn't do the size of the building justice.

One WTC and Lotte WT are equal, and it's very obvious, that the amount of different advantages and disadvantages is the same for both designs. There's simple logic behind the pros and contras, as well as design rules and aesthetic standards.

size you can debate on, not designs. designs are purely subjective, so why even bother saying which design is better, it is all in the eye of the beholder, however size is pretty good measurable and compared to this building 1WTC looks rather small, because of the so different roof heights the buildings have. and actually both buildings have little in common and i don't even know why there is this discussion haha.

Lotte is much taller, and better in my opinion. It's a fantastic design.

yes the design is amazing and spawned a lot of off-springs i feel like. projects like pertamina energy tower seem to be inspired by this design and i think this is a very good thing

For an amature beholder they are, indeed. But a professional can tell everything, from an aesthetics POV, what makes up its elegancy and what destroys it (even though, given 555m of height), and what problems they will face during the whole operating period, and which will be the maintenance issues and costs.
Have you ever thought why one face you like more than the other? It's not metaphysical, it's the curvatures and lengths of lines that make it up, the transitions of color and light that shade it... And some more pretty explainable things, like color combinations, proportions matching, movement dynamics etc.

for 1WTC i have the strong feeling it is not the form, nor curves, nor aestetics that make most people like the building. it is the location. Kingkey 101 for example is as impressive, as simple, yet as beautiful and has a comparable size to the building, yet people compare 1WTC with buildings like Shanghai Tower, which plays in a totally different league sizewise, so comparisons are difficult to make to compare with.

Correct, neither curves (there is none), nor aesthetics.
For 1WTC it is:
1. Style
2. Obeliskness
3. Commemorativeness

Thanks for great DIAGRAM(compare with lotte and 1WTC)
Frankly speaking I'm agree with KillerZavatar and others members.(concerns siza and height). As said above beauty is very personal subjective things..
I'm remember same debate was on lotte and Shard of LONDON..

But I also respect onewtclover's favorite and HoneyDaddy's analyze comment.(THANKS OPINIONS)

Bytheway 1WTC located in very center of NEWYORK city. I hope all sorrow of american sweep away with this great tower(1WTC)PEACE

MAIN TOWER CONSTRUCTION HAD BEEN STOP DUE TO ACCIDENTS
(OFFICIAL STOP PERIODS : 26 JUNE ~ 5 AGUST)
FOR 40 DAY. IT WAS PENALTY. AT THE MOMENT RESUME
