The Eiffel Tower wasn't built on unanimous agreement. There was a ton of controversy, and for the first ten years after it was built, there were people talking about how they hated it. Here's one:

My point is, great things don't come easy, and they will never happen without some obstacles. This building will be built, and people might protest it now, but give it some time and it'll be a classic in 10 years.

*I feel sorry he had to carry that name his whole life.

Chile is NOT the only Latin American country in this world nor does it represent Latin America. FYI I lived in Central America (Costa Rica (3), Guatemala (1), El Salvador (2), Honduras (1), Nicaragua (3) for 10 years and not to be offensive but countries like Chile, Argentina Uruguay DO NOT represent Latin America as a whole.

Just because Chile has a supertall like Gran Torre Santiago does that mean the entire Latin American continent is developed? I think NOT. That's the same thing as saying Singapore represents the entire Asian continent as a whole which does not make sense

After many conflicts and shortsighted political divisions Korea became small and divided and still fighting within to keep on eroding themselves of their pride and threatening their very existence. Who knows? Korea may no longer exist on earth in the near future. It may sound like a cliche but Koreans should pay attention to the simple old adage, "United thus we stand".
Why is this super tall building important to Koreans? It simply represents Korea's pride and shows the rest of world what they can accomplish only if they work together. If you folks can't get your acts together, who can really believe in you?

Hong Kong, Cornwall Radiation Beats Tokyo Even After Japan Nuclear Crisis
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-0...an-crisis.html

Underground Uranium
The U.K. Health Protection Agency estimates the typical Briton receives about 2,200 microsieverts of radiation per year from background radiation, or about 0.251 microsieverts per hour -- more than double the levels registered in Tokyo.
“Half of the average annual radiation to people in the U.K. comes from radon -- an invisible, colorless, radioactive gas present in all soils,” John Harrison, deputy director of the agency’s radiation center, said in an e-mail. “It’s a byproduct of the decay of uranium which is found in all soils around the world, and the amount that seeps out is dependent on the local geology.”
Cornwall, a popular tourist destination in southwest England, has four times the level of radon as other parts of the country, he said.
Natural Radiation
Natural radiation makes up about 85 percent of the global total, according to the World Nuclear Association. Manmade contributors include medicine and buildings, as well as the nuclear industry, which accounts for 1 percent of the total, the association says. Foodstuffs also contain radiation, and a 135- gram (4.8-ounce) bag of Brazil nuts has a dose of about 10 microsieverts, according to the U.K. agency.
Other activities that enhance naturally occurring radiation levels include mining, milling and processing of uranium ores and mineral sands, manufacturing and use of fertilizers and the burning of fossil fuels, according to a 2008 report by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The highest level of background radiation is in the state of Kerala and city of Chennai in southern India, where people receive average doses above 30 millisieverts per year, or 3.42 microsieverts an hour, according to the World Nuclear Association. India has vast amounts of thorium in its soil. A millisievert is 1,000 microsieverts.
In Brazil and Sudan, exposure can reach 40 millisieverts a year or 4.57 microsieverts an hour, the Association says.

What most people (non-Koreans) don't realize and DO NOT know is that Koreans are always against each other (other Koreans) and try to out do each other. No wonder Koreans' worse enemy are Koreans themselves lol

My biggest concern is the traffic problem. Jamsil station and the area around is already really crazy during rush hours, I can't imagine what will happen when they open Lotte Tower.

Once the tower opens, most tourists will want to visit the tower (= new landmark of Korea), and honestly, right now i don't see how the transportation in this area will deal with this additional load of people.

This needs a serious preperation for traffic and public transportation. So its better to open later, than having an absolute traffic chaos. And traffic problems will increase the hate against Lotte Tower. Therefore: Prepare better, open up later, make it an overall success

When is the underground bus station opening? That'll surely do something in the way of lightening the load.

I've always thought they should extend the Line 9 subway to better serve southeastern Seoul. It seems weird that it just stops in the middle of Gangnam when it could and should extend through Samseong-dong, go southeast through Jamsilbon-dong and terminate at Olympic Park or Bangi station. I know they were talking about subway network expansions and extensions, but I don't think they mentioned Line 9 at all.

As cestlavie24 said the underground bus station didn't begin construction.
Delayed.

Absolutely agree. From my home to lotte tower very inconvenient through approach jamsil.

Line no 9 must extension until Olympic park

But fortuantley Seoul have a long term plan for high speed subway from my home to jamsil.( so called "남부급행전철" : songdo of incheon===>Gasan digital station(my home)==>gangnam===>jamsil) But this is veryprimary stage plan.

I can't understand why you attack Seoul.
Such attack on the other country doesn't guarantee the safety in your country.
Just prove whether the radiation problem was solved or not in your country.
